Sol Lavitola (ARG)
Sol Lavítola is an Argentinian puppeteer, illustrator, and performer from Mar del Plata whose passion for puppetry began in 2002 under master puppeteer Pepe García. In 2010 she co-founded the Ánima Company and Ánima Taller with Lucila Manso, where they research, create and teach the art of string puppets and stage object manipulation. Her shows—such as Simón—combine marionette work with mime, visual artistry, and musical elements, enchanting audiences of all ages around Latin America and Europe. In addition to performing, she organizes Argentina’s Pepe García National Puppet Meeting and leads workshops on puppet-making and animation, maintaining a strong educational and cultural presence in the puppetry community.
